Contaminated Foods to NEVER Eat Non-Organic

You may know an annual report called Dirty Dozen, which lists the 12 types of products that have the most pesticide residues.

Although the product is an important source of contamination, it is not the only way to get pesticides in our food. It also occurs in meat and dairy products because farm animals are fed pesticide-rich diets.

Many pesticides do not decompose in the human or animal body and only increase their concentration over the course of life.

The latest research on this topic shows that taking heavy pesticides throughout life can have negative effects on reproductive health, among other things. To protect your health and that of your growing children, choose organic products as often as possible whenever the following 7 foods are involved

1. Strawberries

Strawberries are almost always at the top of the dirty dozen list, and more than a third of the samples tested are positive for 10 or more types of pesticide residue. Strawberries can be particularly susceptible to deposits because their seeds are on the outside and small prints are made that contain pesticides that are sprayed onto the fruits.

Strawberries are also quite soft and tender, so pesticides can penetrate the surface. They grow in contact with dirt and are not washed before packing and shipping, as moisture can accelerate mold growth. Most of the strawberries are eaten whole, ie unpeeled. If you buy only one organic fruit, strawberries should be.

2. Spinach

Spinach leaves are sprayed directly with pesticides and have on average almost twice as many pesticide residues as any other crop. 96.6% of the samples show residues of at least one pesticide, but 13.6% show at least 10 species!

When it comes to spinach, it’s not just the fact that pesticides linger. A type of pesticide is used that is banned in the EU and recognized by the EPA as a “weak carcinogen”.

Confusing 71% of the spinach leaves examined found some form of this chemical called permethrin. Spinach is an extremely healthy leafy green, but you should buy it organically to avoid having a proven carcinogen.

3. Nectarines

Sweet, juicy nectarines have a very smooth skin that offers little resistance to chemical pesticides that want to penetrate fruit.

In fact, some pesticides used in nectarines are specifically designed to prevent pests that like to dig in berry fruits. Since we eat nectarine skin and everything, this offers a kind of double strike.

4. Milk

Traditionally bred cows are fed grain containing pesticide residues, but that’s not all. To keep the herds healthy, animals are given antibiotics all the time, even when they are not sick. And some farmers rely on growth hormones to strengthen their animals. All of these feed additives can get into the milk of female cows.

It should come as no surprise as human mothers understand that pesticides and other artificial chemicals get into breast milk.

It’s a little ironic that the original source of pesticides, antibiotics, and growth hormones in breast milk can be another animal’s milk. At this point, four different pesticides were found in non-organic milk.

5. Oily meat

We mentioned that pesticides and other harmful things remain in the bodies of the animals that feed them. To be more precise, these chemicals are found in animal fat rather than muscle tissue. (The same goes for people.)

About a dozen pesticides have been identified in beef fat, and the pattern is consistent in other meats, with pork fat and chicken thighs showing pesticide residues that don’t appear in lean cuts.

6. Potatoes

Potatoes and potato products are among the most popular foods in the United States. USA Unfortunately, over 30 different types of pesticides have been found on potatoes, even though the part we eat lives underground.

In theory, pesticides hit the plant on the ground, not the buried part. In fact, potatoes and other tubers absorb many of the things that seep through the water through the water. In tests, the USDA found that 81% of the potatoes contained pesticides, even after they were washed and peeled.

7. Coffee

We don’t have much data about Coffee, but the beans imported to the USA come from
